Born Stuart Leslie Goddard in London in 1954.
First appeared as lead singer with Adam And The Ants in 1977 along with guitarist Lester Square, bassist Andy Warren, and drummer Paul Flanagan.
Had number one hits with "Stand and Deliver", "Prince Charming" and "Goody Two Shoes".

Recorded an album called "Persuasion" which has never been released.
Has appeared in several American TV shows such as "The Equalizer" and "Tales from the Crypt" and has also appeared in a number of films including Derek Jarman's "Jubilee".
Released the solo album "Wonderful" in 1995, which was moderately successful.
You might hear his name at football grounds in a chant which suggests that "Niall Quinn's disco pants" are "better than Adam and the Ants".
After being accused of pulling out a gun in a pub, Adam was admitted to a psychiatric ward and sectioned under the mental health act.
Currently performing a series of concerts as part of the "Here and Now" tour along with other acts who were big in the eighties such as Howard Jones, Toyah and Belinda Carlisle.

His mum used to clean Paul McCartney's house.
When in Adam and the Ants he hired Malcolm McLaren, the manager of the Sex Pistols, to help improve the bands image.
Adam has dated Jamie Lee Curtis, Amanda Donohoe and Heather Graham.
