Born Sonia Evans in Liverpool on 13th February 1971.
In 1988, she appeared in the TV series "Bread" as Joey Boswell's girlfriend.
Shortly after an impromptu audition with Pete Waterman, Sonia's debut single "You'll Never Stop Me From Loving You" reached number one in 1989 when she was 18 years old.
Had a string of top 20 hits including "Listen To Your Heart", "Only Fools (Never Fall In Love)" and "You To Me Are Everything".
Also had hit albums with "Everybody Knows" and "Sonia", the second of which featured some songs written by Sonia herself.
In 1993, finished 2nd in the Eurovision song contest for the UK with "Better The Devil You Know", only missing out on 1st place with the final vote.

Had several minor hit singles in the mid-nineties.
Played Lily Savage's daughter Bunty in the BBC TV series "The Lily Savage Show".
In 1995, Sonia replaced Debbie Gibson to appear opposite Craig McLachlan in the hit London musical "Grease". Craig was later replaced by Shane Richie as Sonia continued as the leading lady.
In 1997, Sonia went on to appear in the musical "What A Feeling" with Luke Goss and Sinitta.
In 2000, appeared with Bobby Davro in the eighties musical "Eternal Flame".
In recent years has starred in pantomime as "Peter Pan".
Appeared on the TV show "Reborn In The USA" in which she was on a tour bus in America with Dollar, Gina G, Michelle Gayle and other stars hoping to resurrect their careers. Sonia was voted off in week 5 of the show which was eventually won by Tony Hadley. A CD is available featuring Sonia's version of "The Greatest Love Of All".
